Formless Daoism is not about rituals (although there is nothing wrong with them at all) but more about teaching people how to celebrate their conscious union with the Dao moment by moment and paying homage in your conscious actions. It gives one tools to deal with illness, mental peculiarities and toughen people to embrace life and be happy with what you already have. Today, I assist people on their path in the same location that I developed my own skill set.
Formless Daoism is meant to be experienced and felt, never to be locked into stasis, but free to grow and evolve into an intrapersonal evolution assisting the embodiment of ones’ own spirit, towards a fulfillment of ones destiny.
About the Instructor
Ted Cibik, Ph.D., ND(M), DMQ, a visionary, speaker, healer and author has been passionate about Chinese medicine, meditation and healing since childhood. A survivor of incurable asthma and cancer, he has dedicated his life to healing himself and others. Dr. Cibik is also a senior student of Jeffrey Yuen, and was awarded the title of Zhong Yi, or Chinese Physician, due to his exceptional understanding of Chinese medicine and alchemy practice.
Dr. Cibik began studying martial arts and mediation at age 5. His first mentor was from a Ch’an linage and a jujitsu master. It was here that he learned meditation, acu-points and QiGong to help control his asthma allowing him to survive this congenital autoimmune disorder. An ancient Taoist meditation called the White Tiger meditation became a staple of his practice and is described fully in his first book, Air Passages, Surviving Asthma Naturally.
Dr. Cibik is the Executive Director of Inner Strength, Inc – a Mind Body Education and treatment center utilizing cutting edge integrative medicine including the practice of ancient Chinese medicine. Dr. Cibik teaches and treats using Dao Yin Therapy, also known as the oldest therapeutic modality of Chinese medicine. It is a complete comprehensive system of health care addressing the energetic / vibrational / pre-development aspect of disease and the manifestations created post-development. The practitioner, drawing upon their ability to sense and manipulate energy developed through dedicated study and self- cultivation, uses Qi emission to strengthen another’s Qi-field or break up Qi stagnation in the clients body -naturally allowing the body to heal itself. He also teaches customized Medical QiGong exercises and meditations rooted in Chinese medical theory to restore health and wellness.
He is the founder of Formless Taoism, a sect rooted in ancient shamanic energy practices (Zhou You Specialty) and dedicated to understanding the science of Mind, Heart and Gut within a 21rst century science platform. Formless Taoism is a spiritual development course to obtain piece of mind when surrounded by chaos – leading to enlightenment. As my teacher said, “To study the Tao, one must study what study does not give”. It is in this vein that I mentor those on the path or those seeking the path. In Taoism, we believe that the world is a refection of oneself. How one cultivates (practices) one-self becomes the mirror image of the world.
Dr. Cibik has lectured before the National Institutes of Health on QiGong and exercise science and is a founding member of the Annual Taoist Gathering in the United States.
Dr Cibik still maintains a private practice in PA and lectures internationally. He has dedicated his life to teaching others to heal themselves and is considered a mentor to other healers in health care.
