Although no religions will be taught or favored over one another on this website, it is useful to understand the most basic belief of the Taoists in order to see why they developed the most useful practices for promoting good health, preventing and treating illness, and prolonging life.

The basic belief of the Taoists has always been that there is no absolute way to know what happens after we die, so we should try to practice things that lead to a longer life in order to observe and learn as much as we can in this lifetime.

There are many useful lessons we can learn from the Taoists that have been passed down for generations.  The philosophies of living in harmony with nature, eating a healthy and balanced diet, exercising and practicing meditation, and accepting who you are still lead to a calmer and happier life.
